Our beeswax blocks are made from honeycomb cappings, so are free from chemical contamination that can occur if wax is harvested from parts of the hives that have been exposed to varroa treatments. 'It is finely filtered with minimal defects - however may contain a few spots of honey or other hive debris as this is a natural product with minimal processing.
The colour of beeswax is naturally white, however most people will associate it with the bright yellow colour. The is due to natural staining occurring inside the hive from pollen and propolis as well as the type of nectar source that the bees are gathering.
Pure beeswax is ideal for making smokeless candles, food wraps, furniture polishes, lip balms, moisturisers or other cosmetics.
When stored in cool dry conditions, beeswax has an indefinite shelf life.
